Universal Orlando
Tickets 2026 Explained:
Base, Park-to-Park & Multi-Day

Epic Universe is now included in multi-day tickets. Here's exactly what that means — and what to buy.

Mark Ambrose Updated June 2026 6-minute read

Universal Orlando's ticketing has always been a little confusing. In 2026, it got more complicated — and more valuable — with Epic Universe now part of the multi-day ticket structure. Here's the plain-language breakdown so you know exactly what you're buying.

🎉 The 2026 Game-Changer: Epic Universe Is Now in Multi-Day Tickets

When you purchase a 3-Day or longer Park-to-Park ticket, Epic Universe is now included. This is a major shift from 2025, when Epic Universe required a separate purchase. With a 3-Day Park-to-Park ticket, you can visit all three Universal theme parks and park hop between them — including all three areas of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in a single day for the first time ever.

The Ticket Types, Explained

1-Day Ticket (Single Park)

Date-Specific

Good for guests visiting just Epic Universe as a standalone day, or doing a quick one-park stop. You must specify which park at purchase.

⚠ Epic Universe NOT included in 1-Day Park-to-Park tickets

1-Day Park-to-Park Ticket

Good for guests who want to do both Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida in one day — primarily for the Hogwarts Express experience between Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley. Epic Universe is NOT included.

3-Day Park-to-Park Ticket

Most Popular

Good for first-time families doing Epic Universe plus the original parks. Includes Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and Epic Universe with park-hopping. Pricing starts around $138/day for adults — decreases as you add days.

✓ Epic Universe INCLUDED

4- or 5-Day Park-to-Park Tickets

Best Value/Day

Great for families doing Universal + Volcano Bay, or anyone who wants a more relaxed pace. The per-day price drops significantly, making these strong value options for a full Universal-focused trip.

Does It Include Volcano Bay?

Not automatically. Volcano Bay is a separate add-on to multi-day tickets. A 4-Day or longer ticket with Volcano Bay is a strong value for summer trips when a water park day makes sense.

⚠️ Important Closure Note:

Volcano Bay closes seasonally starting October 26, 2026, and plans to reopen by April 1, 2027. Check current promotions — Universal has run "Buy 3 Days, Get 2 Free" deals that can significantly change the math.

Annual Passes

If you live in Florida or plan to visit Universal more than once in a 12-month period, annual passes deserve a look for USF and Islands of Adventure access.

⚠️ Important 2026 Update — Annual Passes & Epic Universe:

As of July 1, 2026, no Universal Orlando annual pass tier includes admission to Epic Universe. Annual passholders can purchase a discounted single-day ticket to Epic Universe, but the park is not bundled into any annual pass as standard. If you're planning to visit Epic Universe, you'll need to factor in the cost of a separate ticket regardless of your annual pass tier. Verify current terms directly with Universal when purchasing, as this policy has been evolving.

One Big Advantage: No Park Reservations

Universal Orlando does not use a park reservation system — you buy a dated ticket (specifying your first day), and from there you choose which park to visit each day as you go. This flexibility is a real selling point for families who don't like being locked into a rigid schedule. Note that Disney World has also moved away from requiring park reservations for most guests — as of 2026, WDW only requires park pass reservations for annual passholders, military ticket holders, and complimentary ticket holders. Multi-day ticket guests at Disney can now show up without pre-reserving a specific park.

What a Travel Advisor Does Differently

I watch for promotional ticket deals and know when pricing dips. I can price out your specific dates, compare packages that bundle hotel + tickets, and make sure you're not paying for parks or days you don't need. That's harder to do on Universal's own website when you're comparing five different ticket types.
